The Customer

Millennium Point Property LTD are the Landlords for the Millennium Point Estate. Millennium Point is an Iconic centre of excellence for innovation in Birmingham. Home to the Think Tank, Several University and College Tenants and independent stores such as 6/8 Kafe.

Conceived in 1995 as the largest landmark millennium project in England outside of the capital, Millennium Point opened on 29 September 2001 and was officially opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on 2 July 2002.

Their Needs

Millennium Point needed to review their entire Telecoms estate. They still used the original Siemens ISDX system still in place from day one. MP went to tender for their entire Telecoms estate to include a new telephone system, Line calls Leased Line and Mobile Phones.

The Solution

Clarity Voice surveyed Millennium Points Existing Telephony estate and offered a Turn key Solution of the Market leading Unify Openscape Business Telephony platform, complimented with a new 100MB Fibre leased Line carrying the

new SIP trunks with ISDN2 back up lines for resilience. MP Also upgraded their Mobile Phone estate to the latest Apple Iphone 6 devices and Ipads. Clarity Voice deployed this total solution within 6 weeks of signing the order on time and within budget.

The Implementation

Millennium Point were looking for a modern Unified Communications platform that would seamlessly connect their office and mobile staff, and give their staff visibility of other users where they are and whatever device they are using.

Openscape Business offered this and far more, offering easy to use software embedded within Microsoft Outlook, and on their new Iphones for their Mobile users meaning their mobiles are extensions from the system, they are then able to see the availability of all users via the Presence engine.

Clarity Voice installed a new Fibre Leased line which carries their Voice calls via SIP trunks, back up with ISDN2 lines, a new calls package with New Iphones and Ipads completing the solution with a full support package across the whole solution.

Clarity Voice Project managed the project perfectly and their technicians were very helpful and patient. The training program was key and designed bespoke for our needs.
